一、教材
精读: 《新视野大学英语读写教程》（BookⅠ）
泛读: 《阅读大观》（BookⅠ）
听说: 《新视野大学英语听说教程》（BookⅠ）
 
二、学时：
本学期教学周次共为20周, 周学时为4，总学时数为80学时。
 
三、教学目的
本课程是为修完《新视野大学英语读写教程》（预备级）的08级艺术学生开设的必修课程。课程以阅读技能为主，培养学生听、说、读、写、译的综合技能。在教学过程中注重以教材为依托，课内、课外知识相结合为原则，利用听说读写译各个因素之间的联系和相互影响，按主次分配课堂时间，设计课堂活动。运用任务型教学理论和互动手段，充分调动学生学习英语的积极性、主动性和创造性，从而达到理想的教学效果，使他们在以后的四、六级考试中以及日常社会交往中能熟练地运用英语进行交流。本课程的教学目的是以阅读为主，因此教学者需按主次分配时间，设计课堂活动。运用任务型和交际性教学方法，充分调动学生的英语学习积极性、主动性和创造性，真正体现出以教师为主导，学生为主体的教学理念。

说明：Section B内容可根据四级考试和上课情况而有所改变。
 
六、考试安排和题型
期中、期末考试的题型及分值安排如下：
ⅠReading Comprehension
Ⅱ Multiple Choice
    在这项测试题当中，80% 的内容涉及到每个单元Section A 部分当中的重要的词汇、语法等语言点。剩余的20%测试题则来自于大学英语四级词汇中的高频词搭配。
 Ⅲ Cloze
 Ⅳ Translate the following Chinese into English
 Ⅴ Translate the following English into Chinese
Ⅳ和Ⅴ中的测试题可选自课后练习中句子翻译习题，也可根据所学的主要句型进行自编测试题。
 
七、成绩评定方法：
学生总评= 平时成绩（30%）+ 期中(30%) + 期末（40%）
平时成绩的界定：出勤+平时作业+随堂测试成绩+自主学习
